how awesome is this tree house hotel in Costa Rica? pretty much need to stay at a hotel this cool sometime. i'm still a little amazed and mystified about the whole toilet in the tree trunk though...

clearly i'll be daydreaming of far off travel this weekend as i get some major work done all on fronts (i'll be in lab today, have much wedding stuff to do tomorrow, and have been crocheting most spare minutes to try and stock up my store for a hopeful holiday rush ;)

i just love this photo of the bridesmaids at Elizabeth Taylor's first wedding. those dresses have quite the dramatic neckline.

it's a fitting photo though, as this weekend is jam packed full of wedding festivities! i'm currently up in NYC hanging out with my bridesmaids hopefully not getting into too much trouble ;) then we're all back on sunday for the wedding shower!

i really can't believe how real it is all becoming... this week we also shot our engagement session in old city Philadelphia (i tweeted about it) and i can't wait to see how it turned out.

but time is moving ahead and summer is going by so fast! i hope you have wonderful weekend plans and enjoy the summer sun ;)

have a beautiful weekend

i finally have a weekend at home! my biggest goal is to completely clean our apartment from top to bottom. busy schedules in the past weeks have really made this place kind of terrifying (like college boy apartment bad...) so i'm hoping to make it all shiny and new again today. (my life is so glamorous right?) other plans include: dinner with friends, more work on new fall pieces for the shop, reading, and relaxing.

a little bit of this and that for the weekend

thank goodness it is friday! i am so completely ready for the weekend, it was kind of a rough week. SIGH. tonight we're headed to the phillies game (in 103 degree weather? umm sure...) and then tomorrow i'm headed up to new york state for my cousin's bridal shower.

now for some great stuff i wanted to share before i head off for some much needed decompression...

hope everyone is enjoying summer so far and has big fun plans for the weekend! we'll be back late sunday at some point and i'll be back online on monday. i've got more days off of work so i'm looking forward to doing a massive shop update and maybe finally working on that website i've been planning... i'll also be sharing photos from our vacation in the week to come!

but it's summer! so i hope this weekend finds you heading to the closest body of water or gathering all of your favorite people for a barbecue ;)

this week felt very hectic and there was way too much going on most days, so i am most excited for the weekend to finally be here! tonight bryan and i get to celebrate the end of the medical year with a night out on the town with a cocktail party on the waterfront and then dancing! what to wear, what to wear...

then on saturday i'll be in hyper cleaning and packing mood - dear lord if anyone saw the state of our apartment! sunday we head out for a wonderful week away! don't worry though, i have actually prewritten and scheduled blog posts so there will be some rambles up on here to keep you all occupied ;)
