a few new items

i've been trying my hardest to get some new items and new photos done. and i was able to sneak two new items into the shop recently, the Fairhill braided knit scarf and the Waverly drawstring cowl in a new awesome cobalt blue color.

just as a heads up, with the impending wedding and honeymoon (yay!) i'm going to be closing down the shop for most of the month of october. i'll be back for the holidays in november, but feel free to be super responsible and get a head start on your shopping early!

also be on the look out for a little celebratory sale towards the end of the month ;)

recharging

lately the combined effects of long work days, finishing up wedding planning (it's only a month away!?!) and crazy sinus pressure have left me completely exhausted and uninspired.

thankfully there's the internet and creative people like this and this and this to bring me (and all of you) lovely images like those above.

oh and thank goodness its cool enough outside now for enjoying many many cups of tea ;)

currently coveting: boo + boo factory

i absolutely adore the completely unique and bold, colorful jewelry designs of boo + boo factory. the forms are somehow both organic and mechanical. i'm such a sucker for almost obsessive work and i feel like each piece requires plenty of time hunched over with an exacto blade making everything just right.

fabulous.

current obsession: quilting

now i don't possess any fancy sewing skills but the amazing work of Carson Converse really makes me want to learn how to quilt! i love when people are able to take very traditional crafts and put their own modern stamp on them. and what's better than these bold colors and her geometric designs? i think it would be pretty to cool to have one of these to pass down to future generations.

oh and be sure to learn more about Carson in her featured seller interview on Etsy ;)

1. color block pillow cover
2. equilateral triangles crib
3. dusty rose triangle cards

current obsession: charmaine olivia

i just love love the artwork of San Fransisco based artist Charmaine Olivia. i've already amassed quite a substantial collection of her work and i'm always wanting to get just one more... she's completely self taught and quite prolific for being so young.

her work can be found on etsy, society 6, and her personal website.
